The Year of Just Do.
This year I made my very first New Year resolution. My resolution was not to lose weight, cut back on junk food, or stop eating pork. My resolution was to Just Do It. Let me explain. Many of us, have dreams and aspirations, that we just sit on. Well, I finally decided to get up and get moving. The truth is, the only thing that is holding me down is me.
The one thing I was afraid of was failure. I would like to share two quotes. " Everything you want is on the other side of fear." -Jack Canfield. "Success is most often achieved by those who don't know that failure is inevitable"- Coco Chanel. We cannot be afraid to fail.
I change my mindset when I realized that I can only fail if I don't try. If my plans don't work out the way I wanted them to, then I will keep trying new ideas until they work.
I know there are obstacles in our lives that we have to work around, through, or with. We have children and, some are single mothers. We have to work and go to school, and there is just not enough time.
Remember, when you start your set goals and make plans, you don't have to do everything at once. Take your time. Work around your schedule. For example, on your lunch break, take time to set goals, make plans and think about ideas. Weekends or a good time for research. Use downtime to research what you need to get started. Just take baby steps and get started; Just do.
